Young SA team for Africa champs 20 July
Thursday, 20 July 2006 - Athletics South Africa today announced a team of 57 athletes consisting of 35 men and 22 women, to participate at the African Senior Championships to be held in Mauritius from 9-13th August 2006. The team is a mixture of experience and youth, which is in line with ASA’s policy to build and develop a strong team for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

South African Juniors bring home 30 medals
The future for South African athletics is shining brightly as the team that went to Mauritius for the Southern Region Junior Track and Field Championships brought home a whopping 30 medals.

Top Clubs Resume Rivalry in Ravensmead Race

WP Runners win 6 medals in first SA 20k Championships
Western Province runners did exceptionally well in the first Nedbank South African 20 km Championships, held this weekend in East London. The team brought back six medals, headed by the four silvers of Albertus Bock and Pixie Sparg (grandmasters), John September (veteran) and Les Chivell (master).
