ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Route type: Point to point
Route description: The start venues of the various distances
are: 80 km - Hartleyvale/Simon's Town; 50 km - Kalk Bay towards
Cape Point; 32 km - Simon's Town, 20 km - Dolphin Beach, Blouberg;
15 km - Retreat; 10 km - Mouille Point; 5 km - Hartley vale.
The 80 km, 50 km, 32 km and 20 km walks are timed. The 15
km, 10 km and 5 km walks are untimed. The 80 km, 50 km, 32
km and 15 km races go along the Simon's Town to Cape Town
Main Road to Hartley vale. The 20 km walk from Dolphin Beach;
Blouberg follows Beach Road to Oswald Pirow Drive and then
along the Main Road to Hartleyvale. The 10 km route goes from
Mouille Point along the seafront through the V&A Waterfront
and joins up with the 20 km route at Oswald Pirow Drive.
All finishers receive medals. Those competing in the timed
Walks (80 km, 50 km, 32 km, and 20 km) receive certificates.
There are many medals in a wide range of categories to be
won.
