Johannesburg, Thursday, 2 March 2006 - Athletics South Africa (ASA) today announced that 800m athlete, Isaiah Nkuna (Gauteng North), has been suspended from all athletics competitions with immediate effect, after failing an out-of-competition doping control test in December 2005. Nkuna tested positive for Testosterone.

Nkuna was previously suspended in 2003, and reinstated in February 2005, after serving a two-year ban for a doping offence when he tested positive for Norandrosterone at an Absa Series meeting.

Nkuna will not have his B-sample tested, and has requested a hearing, which will take place as soon as possible.
