ASA statement related to Soweto Marathon

There have been recent media reports which have implicated Athletics South Africa in the affairs of Soweto Marathon.

Kemboi wins Soweto Marathon 2012

Sunday, 4 November 2012 – Kenya’s Shadrack Kemboi won the men’s title at 20th edition of the Soweto Marathon in 2:16:28.  The 26 year-old, along with compatriot Timothy Kibet, lead most of the race, but Kemboi broke away at the 33km mark.
