Doing what it takes<\/h1>\n

My wife is keen on running Comrades.<\/p>\n

The finish line, one last gasp to go<\/p><\/div>\n

After 7 years of children she got back on the road.<\/p>\n

She needed a\u00a0qualifier for the Two Oceans marathon as the long training run. \u00a0We drove 400+ km to George from Cape Town with the kids, left at 4 am to get to the start \u00a0at the Cango Caves for the Infantry School marathon.<\/p>\n

She did it.<\/p>\n

Now if she wants, she can do even harder, longer runs.<\/p>\n

As I’d run a marathon the weekend before, I didn’t need to run then. We raced home, were soon in bed.<\/p>\n

5am the net day, I could run two hours of a great Cape Town morning.<\/p>\n

We did what it takes so that we can do what it takes.<\/p>\n
