{"id":876,"date":"2013-05-13T07:05:27","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T07:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.time-to-run.co.za\/ultimatecomrades\/?p=876"},"modified":"2015-10-11T06:26:23","modified_gmt":"2015-10-11T04:26:23","slug":"2013-taper-days-5-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.time-to-run.co.za\/ultimatecomrades\/2013\/05\/13\/2013-taper-days-5-8\/","title":{"rendered":"2013 Taper Days 5-8"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The taper in practice<\/h2>\n<p>The best part of last Saturday&#8217;s 2-hour run was how I felt in the last 3 km -as if I could have gone on all day at that effort level.<\/p>\n<p>Which is just as well because in less than 3 weeks I&#8217;ll have to do just that &#8211; run most of the sunshine part of the day.<\/p>\n<p>After a rest day on Sunday I ran out for what&#8217;s become my standard training run, 8.72 km down into town and then back up again. I felt strong, ran strong and did it 40 sec faster than I&#8217;ve done it before. Great. Another indicator that the taper is going right.<\/p>\n<p>Plus I have no twinges or other indicators that something is going wrong in my legs.
