We continue in our task to develop this section to provide you the viewer with all the information regarding nutrition.

In addition to providing energy, carbohydrate, fat, and protein provide raw materials for building the body's tissues and regulating its many activities.

The challenge is to combine a diet of favorite foods and enjoyable eats with a nutritional diet that will supplement your activities effectively.

Nutrition has played a major role in your life, even before your birth and it will continue to effect you depending on what you choose to eat. Food choices are important especially for the budding runner, and this is where the expression "you are what you eat" comes into play. In order for people to lead a healthy life style they need to adhere to the 'Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA)'Energy RDA  Each person's food energy intake must equal the energy expended, if the person is to maintain body weight. Now if this is the necessity in the normal day to day living of an ordinary human being, then we can only stress the vital importance of the athletes diet. Add to this the importance of maintaining your vitamin, mineral and fluid intake, and we will be well on the way to providing you with the ultimate foundation to a good training plan.
