TOMI Charity
The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon provides runners a great day out and is also a fantastic way to give back to the community. The Two Oceans Marathon Initiative (TOMI) is the event’s official fundraising initiative that provides much needed support to select groups of charities that meet various criteria. The 2013 beneficiaries of TOMI were announced by the Two Oceans Marathon Association Board on 20 February 2013 and include SANParks Honorary Rangers, Western Province Athletics and The Cape Academy of Maths, Science and Technology. Two Oceans Fun Run
The first Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon Fun Run Series of 2013 took place this weekend at the Alphen Hall in Constantia. Young and older athletes lined up on 26 January 2013 to complete a 5.6km route that took participants around the leafy suburb of Constantia. (more…)

Today I bid farewell to some dear running companions. Together we have covered 4000 km. Highlights include two (and a half) Two Oceans silvers, PBs for 15 km and 42.2 km, a Cape Odyssey stage win, two Puffer wins, two Addo wins, and a VWS trail win. Namibia. Hong Kong. Ireland.
They are gone, but not forgotten.

Two Oceans 2012
Three-times Comrades marathon winner, Stephen Muzhingi won the 2012 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon Saturday taking home the R250 000 prize money.
The Zimbabwean athlete crossed the line in a time of 3:08. (more…)
