Tuesday, 12 June 2012 – Juan van Deventer missed the Olympic qualifying A-Standard in the men’s 1500m by 2/100th at the Josef Odlozil Memorial in Prague, Czech Republic last night. Van Deventer needed 3:35.50 or faster in order to reach his first qualifying mark, but finished third in 3:35.52, his best time this season.

LJ Van Zyls’ incredible 2011 continued in Ostrava, Czech Republic on Tuesday 31 May; when the 25-year old decimated another classy field, equaled his PB and National Record (47.66sec) and ran his 4th time this season under 48sec.
