Calling all trail running enthusiasts! Entries have opened for the AfricanXTrailrun presented by ASICS, South Africa’s premier three day stage trail run that will take place in the Western Cape the weekend of 11 – 13 March 2016.
AfricanXTrailrun weekend
“The food and the AfricanXvibe are really great, but the people make it,” says top South African trail runner, AJ Calitz. “Last year I really enjoyed staying in the tents and meeting so many like-minded trail runners. That is what it’s all about. Giving the Suunto watch to Bernie during prize giving is one of the highlights of my life so far – the look on his face was priceless.”
“I love the AfricanX team aspect,” continues Calitz. “Running with Bernie is awesome. We are so different, but run really well together. The entire weekend is epic. You basically eat, sleep and run. If athletes want to know what trail running is all about, I recommend that they try AfricanX. You will hurt, but you will have the best time of your life doing it. The diversity of the route and amazing camaraderie makes this event truly special.”
