Two Oceans record fields
A record field of over 25 000 runners are expected to line up for the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon on Easter Saturday 7 April. The half marathon has attracted the biggest field in the event’s history, with just over 16 000 participants lining up and more than half of them are women. The ultra marathon has also attracted a large field of just over 9 200, not a record field but certainly one of the biggest fields in the history of the ultra. (more…)

Augustine Maiyo wins Cape Town Marathon
Augustine Amos Maiyo (Mr Price) clocked an Olympic Qualifying time of 2:14:55 to beat a top field, including South African marathon record holder Gert Thys, and claim the R25 000 first prize at the Aca Joe Cape Town Marathon 2011 on Sunday 25 September. (more…)
Cape Town Marathon Deadline Extended
The organisers of the Cape Town Marathon 2011, which takes place on Sunday 25 September, have extended the pre-entry deadline by a week to noon on Monday 19 September for the 42.2km and 10km races. (more…)
