Wacky Butterfly Trail Run for June 2018

Barrydale, a small town on the Route 62 in the Western Cape with a population of 6000 people and a further 3000 on farms and the surrounding area, will host the Wacky Butterfly Trail Run on the 2 June 2018

The Barrydale Hospice was formed in 2013 to perform palliative care to promote quality in life, dignity in death and support in bereavement to all persons living with a life-threatening illness.

It was registered as a Non-Profit Organization (NPO 176-335) in 2016 and registered as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 930055615) in 2017. A Section 18A receipt for tax reduction can be issued for donations made.

Barrydale Hospice is dependent on donations and volunteers to make a meaningful difference in many people’s lives.

The hospice is hosting a fundraiser trail run event at Jan Harmsgat, Swellendam on 2 June 2018 at the Wacky Wine Weekend.

Your contribution by entering this trail run will benefit all hospice patients as well as the community of Barrydale.

Date: 2 June 2018
Venue: Jan Harmsgat, Bonnievale (on the R60 Ashton/Swellendam road)
Short route (5 km): R 80
Long route (10 km): R 120
Registration: 07:00
Start: 08:00 (10km) and 08:15 (5km)
Prize giving & Lucky Draws: 10:00 (opposite the road at the restaurant)
Online Entries through Entry Ninja until 31 May 12pm
Late Entries & On the day at R20 added fee.
Medals to 300 finishers
Waterpoints: 10km 2 points and 5km one point. Please be self supported if you need more.
Not pram friendly. No dogs allowed.

IMPORTANT: The race will happen on the farm opposite the Jan Harmsgat Country House entrance. (From Ashton on your right and from Swellendam on your left). Parking available on both sides.


The prize giving will then move over to the Jan Harmsgat Country House at 10:00.
