Mpuang gets silver in China

Thuso Mpuang gave himself a huge boost ahead of the World Championships in Deagu Korea, when he won the silver medal in the men’s 200m final at the World Student Championships.

Viljoen sets new SA Javelin Record

Gauteng North excel at Youth Champs

South Africans competing abroad

  With 14 South African athletes participating in 4 different competitions abroad on June 25, it turned out to become a great sporting weekend.  Not only did the 57th Janusz Kusocinski Memorial happen in Poland, but also the Lausitz Meeting in Germany, the Kuortane Games in Finland and the Meeting International Nivelles in Belgium.

Medals at Southern Region

During the past Southern Region Youth Championships that took place on 28-29 May 2011 in Namibia, the South African youth team delivered outstanding performances.  Central Gauteng saw five selected athletes compete and the result was an achievement of 8 medals in total for this young talented group.
