The 2013 Longtom Ultra and Half Marathons have been officially cancelled due to financial constraints. Contracting of a major corporate title sponsor for the 2013 event has been postponed to the 2014 budgetary year. Therefor the 2013 event will once again be hosted without the financial assistance of a title sponsor.

Tuesday, 19 February 2013 – 24 year-old Cornelia Joubert became South Africa’s youngest ever Marathon Champion after winning the title at the SA Marathon Championships in Oudtshoorn on 3 February 2013.
