Run Soweto Marathon
Monday, 17 September 2012 – Entries for the 20th Soweto Marathon are open with just under 20 000 runners expected to compete in the marathon and all other sub events this year.
For the first time in history, the events will be split over two days with the 10km wheelchair race, the 5km fun run and the 10km professional walk taking place on Saturday, 3 November. The only races taking place on Sunday, 4 November will be the 42.2km marathon as well as the 10km run/walk.

Everybody entering the Soweto Marathon before the closing date will receive a T-shirt at a number collection venue nearest to you. This includes Pilditch Stadium in Tshwane on 31 October and 1 November and at the JHB Expo Centre situated in Nasrec on 2 and 3 November. All events race numbers will be obtained at the abovementioned venues and not at sport shops. Entries close on 21 October 2011.
All entry forms and deposit slips can be faxed to 086 773 8277 or hand delivered at the Soweto Marathon Race office at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Office No. 35 Auditorium, Cnr Nasrec and Randshow Road at Nasrec, Johannesburg.

42.2km R120.00
10km Run/Walk R85.00
10km Professional walk R85.00
10km Wheelchair R85.00
5km Fun Run R15.00
Athletes aged 60 years and older will enter for free.
